Meghalaya is famous for its lush green landscapes, waterfalls, and caves. Cherrapunji, one of the wettest places on Earth, is known for its stunning waterfalls and living root bridges.
Assam is known for its diverse cultural heritage, influenced by various ethnic groups. The Assamese people celebrate festivals such as Bihu with vibrant dance and music.
The state is renowned for its traditional silk weaving, with Assam silk being highly prized.
Itinerary
Day 1 :
Guwahati Airport / Rly Station – Shillong (100 kms / 03 hrs.)
On arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station & transfer to Shillong (4,900 ft.), called 'Scotland of the East". Enroute visit Umium Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. On arrival at Shillong, check in at your hotel. Overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 2 :
Shillong Sightseeing
After breakfast visit Don Bosco Museum, Ward’s Lake, Botanical Garden and Lady Hydari Park. Evening is free for personal activities. Overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 3 :
Shillong - Cherrapunjee (60 kms / 4 hrs.)
After breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft.), the wettest place in the world. On the way enjoy Mawkdok Valley, Nohkalikai falls, Dainthelen Falls and Arwah Caves. On arrival at Cherrapunjee, check in at your hotel. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.Note: Sohra (Cherrapunjee) & Dawki are rich by their own unique beauty & full of natural elegance. The places are paradise of nature lovers & travel enthusiastic. But these destinations are equipped with very limited options, facilities & basic amenities. Even best hotels are equivalent to basic 3*. That too without Fan (at few places), AC & Lift. Standard Accommodations over there are available; just with clean rooms, hygienic bathroom & basic non vegetarian food (very limited options are there for vegetarian guests).
Day 4 :
Cherrapunjee Local Sightseeing
After breakfast we get ready for a half day trek to visit the Double Decker Living Root Bridge deep inside the jungle. It will take 3 to 4 hrs (depending on the physical fitness of the person). Afternoon visit Nohsngithiang Falls (also known as the Seven Sisters Waterfalls or Mawsmai Falls), Mawsmai Cave, Koh Ram Hah and Ecopark. Evening back to the hotel. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.
Day 5 :
Cherrapunjee – Pobitora National Park (184 kms / 5 hrs.)
After breakfast proceed to Pobitora wildlife sanctuary covering 38.8 Sq. kms areas. Pobitora is the highest Rhino concentrated area in the world. Among the other animals like the Asiatic Buffalo, Leopard, Wild Bear, Civet Cat etc. are available here. More than 200 birds and various reptiles are found in this sanctuary. On arrival check in to the hotel. Evening free for leisure or proceed for a nature walk in and around the park. Overnight stay at Pobitora.
Day 6 :
Pobitora National Park – Kaziranga (146 kms / 4 hrs.)
Early morning, proceed for an elephant safari (subject to availability). Return to hotel for breakfast. Later, proceed for Jeep Safari into Pobitora. Afternoon transfer to Kaziranga National Park, the home of “One Horned Rhinoceros”. Check in at your hotel. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
Day 7 :
Kaziranga National Park
Early morning explore any one zone of Kaziranga National Park on back of Elephant. Apart from the Rhino, other species found are Hog Deer, Swamp Deer, Wild Buffalo, Elephants and if you are lucky then tiger also. It is also home to pelicans, storks and darters as there are a number of water bodies inside the Park. Return to the resort for breakfast. In the afternoon enjoy jeep safari through the National Park, later visit Kaziranga Orchid Park. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.Important note:
Elephant rides are all regulated and controlled by the forest Dept. Govt. of Assam. We do not have any control on the booking.
First May onwards, Kaziranga National Park will be closed. So, Elephant rides & Jeep safari are subject to availability only
Day 8 :
Kaziranga National Park – Guwahati (220 kms / 5 hrs.)
After breakfast drive to Guwahati, enroute visit Maha Mrityunjay Temple in Nagaon. Arrive and check in at your hotel. In evening we suggest an optional tour of Golden sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra (Direct Payment by own). Overnight stay at Guwahati.
Day 9 :
Hotel – Guwahati Airport / Rly Station
After breakfast visit Kamakhya Temple (Notes -Timing 08:00 A.M till 01:00 P.M & 3:00 P.M till its gets dark). Transfer to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station for your onward journey.
Note: Temple visit will depend on your departure time. It May be done on previous day.

- Deposit of 50% of the holiday cost if travel date is 50 days or more from the date of booking
- Deposit of 70% of the holiday cost if travel date is 35-30 days or more from the date of booking
- Deposit of 100% of the holiday cost if travel date is 26 days or more from the date of booking
Cancellation Policy
- Deposit of 40% of the holiday cost if travel date is 50 days or more from the date of booking
- Deposit of 50% of the holiday cost if travel date is 35-21 days or more from the date of booking
- Deposit of 100% of the holiday cost if travel date is 25 days or more from the date of booking
Terms and Condition
- Twin /double bed may be allotted as per hotel discretion at the time of check in (subject to availability)
- The surface transport cost (train etc.) for outstation passengers joining this tour at the departure hubs is not mentioned.
- Airport taxes are included at the price list.

Note:
- We provide 1 Dzire for 02-03 Pax, In case the number of heads increases, then the guest will have to take another vehicle for which supplement charges would be applicable. Maximum Kilometer allowance/blockage will be 1100 Km for above mentioned itinerary only.
- Elephant safari entirely depends on the sole discretion of the Park Authority depending upon the weather/ flood condition, even if the park remains open, and subject to availability only.
If you get chance to go for Elephant Safari at Central (Kohora) range you have to pay Rs.800 per forest vehicle directly for pick up and drop from hotel as outside vehicle is not allowed to go to riding point(Central range) due to no-horn zone.
